With the ESCRIBA Enterprise Agent Network (EAN), the Berlin-based HR tech company ESCRIBA is launching an AI-powered automation platform for HR. EAN helps HR departments automate recurring tasks, integrate systems, and implement processes more quickly—without having to delve deeply into programming every time.

Many HR departments are familiar with this problem: data is scattered across different systems, processes are riddled with manual steps, and even small changes often require significant development effort. EAN bridges this gap. The platform offers a graphical interface with reusable building blocks that HR can use to define, model, test, and deploy its own workflows. These are then implemented in SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, and other systems. This not only automates the integration of individual processes but also unifies the entire HR IT landscape. Through the targeted use of artificial intelligence, ESCRIBA offers an AI platform designed to support HR processes.
Automation within HR Systems
With EAN, ESCRIBA specifically applies the functionality of automation platforms to HR system architectures and other environments. The system is enhanced with specific functions and interfaces for personnel files, document creation, review and approval processes, as well as AI modules for document analysis and semantic search.
Create HR workflows without any programming knowledge
Instead of working with code, HR managers assemble the necessary building blocks using drag-and-drop, define rules, and set up workflows between the building blocks. AI modules are built in from the start: documents can be automatically recognized, content can be semantically searched, and responses can be generated in natural language. With ESCRIBA’s EAN, AI-powered chat agents can be set up to, for example, collect and verify personnel master data from multiple connected systems and integrate it into the processes.
Examples of Applications for the Automation Platform
ESCRIBA’s AI platform for supporting HR processes can be used, for example, for chat-based services, file reviews, or automated document generation. One specific use case, for example, is the automated contract workflow—from the receipt of a document to its audit-proof storage. Scanned documents are automatically assigned to the correct employee. The system generates any missing forms, uses AI to verify completeness, distributes the document for approval, and stores the final document in the personnel file in an audit-proof manner. Where multiple teams previously had to intervene manually, the process is now fully automated and traceable from start to finish.
Driving AI Transformation
Fewer repetitive and manual tasks, faster turnaround times, and less coordination effort. This frees up time for strategic tasks and special cases outside of standard processes. “EAN helps HR departments drive AI and digital transformation in a targeted manner within a secure system,” says ESCRIBA CTO Jens Rohnstock.

About ESCRIBA
ESCRIBA AG supports leading companies in the automation and digitization of HR processes. With its NLC|AI platform ECAP, ESCRIBA ranks among Europe’s technology leaders. The platform enables the comprehensive and compliant use of artificial intelligence within companies. It supports the setup and orchestration of AI agents and agent networks, while remaining independent of individual AI models to avoid dependencies and cost risks. The particular strength of ESCRIBA’s technologies is evident in the areas of document generation (DocGen), document management and archiving (digital personnel files), and process automation using AI (Enterprise Agent Network). ESCRIBA’s HR software modules can be operated and used independently or deeply integrated with SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Dayforce, Oracle, and IBM. Our clients include DAX 40 and MDAX companies, many international corporations from the Global Fortune 500, and public sector clients.
ESCRIBA was founded in 1998 by Dr. Juergen Erbeldinger and today employs approximately 160 people in Europe and India.
